Intro to Wheelchair Curling Clinic

The San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club is excited to host a learn-to-curl clinic for wheelchair curling. Wheelchair curling is played with the same rocks and on the same ice as traditional curling, except the rocks are thrown using a stick and there is no sweeping. It has been a Winter Paralympic sport since 2006. The sport of curling is unique in that able-bodied and wheelchair curlers can play together with few rules modifications! SFBACC's certified instructors will teach you the basics of the sport followed by the opportunity to play your own game of curling. All ages welcome.

Note: While the primary focus of this clinic is wheelchair curling, participants with other disabilities requiring accommodations (limb loss, vision impairment, hearing impairment, etc) are welcome to sign up as well and we'll find an adaptive solution to get you playing! If you're unsure please reach out to sarah@bayareacurling.com.
