New forums - but how should we use them?

Suggestions needed! How should we use forums? Should they be members-only or open to all or a mix of both? What sub-forums do we want? State your case!
some ideas:
General curling Q&A
Team/teammate requests
Spare requests
Equipment for sale/wanted
I would suggest that most forums be public. Maybe there is a need for members-only forums, but I can't imagine we'd have anything that was *that* restricted otherwise this wouldn't be secure enough anyway.
I would like to see:
A general catch-all forum.
Forum for finding teammates either for competitive curling or just to go to recreational bonspiels. (Maybe that should be two separate forums.)
Forum for discussing strategy.
Equipment sale/wanted -- yes, that's a good suggestion.
Maybe a suggestions forum -- just like this!
Forum for discussing events in the curling world -- recent/upcoming events, what's on TV, etc.
