Special USCA Conference and Skills Clinic in Vacaville - Oct 10 & 11
Note date change to Sat, Oct 10 and Sun, Oct 11
Here's the letter from SFBACC President, Brent Halpenny:
Hello Bay Area Curlers,
MoPac will be hosting a USCA mini-conference and skills camp in Vacaville on October 10th & 11th. Many head office staff will be here. The USCA says we need a minimum of 20 people to make this successful. I'm thinking that our club can do that by itself, let's show the USCA why MoPac is the fastest growing region in the country.
The following activities are being planned.
1. A skills camp. This will allow for personal curling skill development.
2. Seminars on how to plan for growth and organize a club.
3. At SFBACC's request we will also have part of the program cover coaching and how to grow competitive curling. This has not been done at a mini-conference before.
Costs have yet to be relayed to me, but Vacaville was chosen as it is the least expensive of our local rinks. Hotel rooms have been reserved, and we can organize car pools too.
This is a MoPac event, but I'd like to see a great showing of our members. Yes, you need to be a current SFBACC or MoPac club member to attend. Please get back to me as soon as possible at firstname.lastname@example.org.
