Deadline for SFBACC Club Nationals Teams - September 22 - The SFBACC asks that all teams interested in competing at the Club National Championships register with the club by this date so that playdowns can be arranged.

Fall League in San Jose - September - December - A competitive/open league is held in San Jose, Tuesdays, 9:30-11:30 pm. 7 teams, including about 10 totally new curlers. Winners: Team Sieg (Lyle Sieg, Gabrielle Coleman, Barry Ivy, Candace Seip) more photos



USCA MoPac Mini-Conference and Skills Camp - October 10-11 - The USCA hosts a mini-conference and skills camp for MoPac at the Vacaville Ice Center. Rick Patzke, Bev Shroeder, Sandra McMakin, Chris Sjue, Jon Mielke attend from the USCA. More than 40 curlers from the SFBACC, Wine Country Curling, Hollywood CC, Arizona's Coyotes CC, Granite CC and Klamath Falls attend. more photos

Mixed Doubles National Championships - December 3-6 - Team Coleman (Gabrielle Coleman and Barry Ivy) compete at the Mixed Doubles National Championship in Seattle.

Team Sieg Wins Seattle Holiday Spiel - December 13 - Team Sieg (Lyle Sieg, Gabrielle Coleman, Barry Ivy, Karen Officer) win the Seattle Granite Curling Club's holiday bonspiel. Now those are holiday sweaters!

Team Coleman Wins Seattle Women's Spiel - January 24 - Team Coleman (Gabrielle Coleman, Ann Drummie (MD), JoDee Dike-Johnson, Karen Officer) win the Seattle women's bonspiel with a victory over Team Sharon Vukich, the soon-to-be senior women's national champions.

First Oakland Curling Clinic - January 30 - The first learn-to-curl clinic is held in Oakland. About 100 people attend. more photos

Team Sieg Wins MoPac Mixed Playdown - January 31 - Team Sieg (Lyle Sieg, Gabrielle Coleman, Barry Ivy, Candace Seip) win the 6-team MoPac Mixed Nationals playdown in Seattle. This is the biggest MoPac field ever in this event. This will be the first time in recent memory - and possibly ever - that MoPac has been represented by an all SFBACC team in this event.

Winter Mini-League - January-February - A 5-week mini-league is held in San Jose. Team Sieg wins and Team Vogelsang is close runner-up. Team Sieg (Lyle Sieg, Barry Ivy, Candace Seip, Paul Dion), Team Vogelsang (Thomas Vogelsang, Steve Bollinger, Stefan Buettcher, Kelly Bloom)

San Jose Olympic Curling Watch Parties - February 21, 23 and 27 - Four Olympic Watch Parties are held in Stanley's in San Jose. USA women vs. Canada, Switzerland, Sweden and men's gold medal game.

SFBACC Team at Women's National Championships - March 6-14 - Team Coleman (Gabrielle Coleman, Ann Drummie (Potomac), JoDee Dike-Johnson, Karen Officer) finish 8th at the US Women's National Championships in Kalamazoo with a 3-6 record. The team finished 2nd in the last shot draw total, and Gabrielle Coleman was the 2010 women's recipient of the Ann Brown Sportsmanship Award. more photos

SFBACC Team at Mixed National Championships - March 20-28 - Team Sieg (Lyle Sieg, Gabrielle Coleman, Barry Ivy, Candace Seip) finish 5th at the Mixed National Championships with a record of 4-5.
