Elections and All-Club Meeting – March 17
We're holding elections for the positions of Vice President, At-Large Board of Directors, and MoPac Representative in March and nominations are now open. Nominations close February 17, absentee voting begins March 10, and voting ends at quarterly club meeting, March 17. More details coming soon. Two Club Members in Round 2 of the Olympic Trials Playdowns
Two SFBACC club members will be competing in the "Challenge Round" January 28-Feb 1 in hopes of moving on to the Olympic Trials in February. Lyle Sieg is playing for Team Brian Wight, and Gabrielle Coleman is now playing for Team Cristin Clark. Follow the action on the USCA website.
MoPac Club Playdowns this Weekend
Team Halpenny (Brent Halpenny, Barry Ivy, John Tryon, Mike Greenberg) will represent the SFBACC at the MoPac Men’s Club Nationals playdowns in Seattle Jan 24-25. Wish them luck! (No SFBACC women entered this event this year.)
Competitive Curling – Pacific International Cup CA Playdowns
Teams are forming now for the 10th Annual Pacific International Cup to be held April 15-19 in Richmond, BC. California has one men's and one women's berth. Contact Lyle for more information. For more information on competitive curling in general, check out our special section.
