The Beginner series will cover everything a brand-new curler needs to know to get started with curling, including basic delivery, basic sweeping, and the rules of the game. If you've never curled before or have been to a learn-to-curl clinic, this series is for you.
Payment must be made to Sharks Ice on the first night of curling.
The US is changing its approach to high performance training and this is your chance to learn about that and give input. USCA COO Rick Patzke, 2010 Olympic coach Phill Drobnick and two Olympians will be at the meeting. Sharks Ice at San Jose, upstairs conference room, 5 pm, Wed July 28. (This is before the Vernon Davis charity curling event.) We'll try to hold some alternate sessions for folks who can't make it (and possibly some web/conference call options.) Questions? - or to let organizers know that you'd like to attend but can't make this session, email firstname.lastname@example.org.

We need volunteers to help paint the ice in Oakland on July 7, 2010, at 6:00 p.m.
If you can help, please email Kevin at email@example.com to let him know.
Two San Jose leagues completed on June 22, 2010. The 10-week league had Team Okada (Takashi Okada, Andrew Lam, Laura Klein, Eric Prestemon) triumphing over Team Bollinger (Steve Bollinger, Boris Fedorov, Kelly Jeffery, Robert Garber).
It's been two years since we last painted the sheets in San Jose. Perhaps you've noticed that the paint has faded, particularly in the center sheet.
Painting is scheduled on July 5, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. We could sure use ten volunteers to help paint the sheets. Lyle Sieg will be leading the effort, and Sharks Ice staff will be helping as well.
If you can help, please email Lyle at firstname.lastname@example.org to let him know.
We know it's a holiday weekend, but your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!
