Greg Wollenman has been appointed as the new treasurer for the San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club. Welcome aboard, Greg, and we thank you for your efforts in making the club finances run smoothly.
There were number of us that went through the Level I instructor clinic this past March and I'm looking to find out how we may be able to get a Level II going early in the new year? If you attended that Level I class and have done the following:
The SFBACC will be hosting a learn-to-curl clinic at San Jose on January 4, 2011 at 9:15 p.m. Cost is $15 per person or $12.50 per person for groups of four or more.
If you are interested in volunteering to help teach the clinic, please email Richard L. at email@example.com. All help is welcomed -- no experience required!
just a heads up that from dec 15-19th, The National - Swiss Chalet; Vernon, BC (men's world curling tour event) will be available on-line. info on the event and other known curling broacasts can be found at our Watch Curling!/Curling Broadcast page.

To all SFBACC members,
It is with regret to inform you that our current Treasurer can no longer continue in his position and has resigned. He has worked diligently and hard for the club and has been a great supporter of the club over the years.
We do now have a need for someone with bookkeeping experience or accounting knowledge to look after that area. If you are able to do this or know of someone who either does this professionally or may be interested, please contact Brent Halpenny at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep your broom on the ice,

Clarification on upcoming board meetings:
Golden Gate Bonspiel planning meetings are scheduled for the first Thursday of every month at Fremont, but November's meeting will be conducted over email instead. There will be no meeting at Sharks Ice. Volunteers are still encouraged to contact Michele Young at email@example.com.
The club board meeting in November will be a quarterly meeting and therefore in person. Quarterly meetings will be conducted in person rotating between the three facilities. Non-quarterly meetings will be conducted via teleconference unless otherwise specified.
Normally board meetings are on the second Thursday of the month, but since November's meeting will be in Oakland, it will instead be on Wednesday November 10, 2010, immediately following league.
Is there any way to be alerted to new posts in any of the forums/threads if you are a registered user on the site?
Personally, it's just not in the back of my head to check forums every day....but, if I were emailed that there is a new post...I'd certainly go check it out.
